From the past few days, I observe my Laptop is running slow. So, I checked on the task manager which is showing svchost. I left it for about 8 hours but nothing happens. It also not consuming my internet while downloading updates. Then when you log on go to windows update immediately and change the active hours to 6 hours from now to 12 hours from now to stop it from scanning, downloading and installing. KB OS Build In the future for other major updates, go to above link and select the newest top KB to install manually.

Personally and on a lot of my posts, I suggest to manually do cumulative and creators updates manually. It have helped a lot of people, especially when issues after updates, If you do have issues with updates during or after, then use process below and for current KB , as this one listed is for todays current update you are trying to install. It appears the problem has now been fixed, thank you. Yesterday spent over three hours with MS Help Desk, and after much messing about with try this and this, I terminated the session, truely frustrated.
